"America's Finest City"

I had tried many times to capture the San Diego skyline from different spots, but the results never felt right—either the reflections lacked color, or the sky turned out too dark. Then, on a warm August night, I set up a panoramic shot that included the Coronado Bridge, and finally, I was rewarded with a stunning photo that proves why San Diego truly deserves the title “America’s Finest City.”

"Night Ends "

I have taken pictures of the moonrise, but never the moonset, or witnessed it, because it was hard for me to get up early in the morning; however, after returning home late after watching the moonrise in the desert in Joshua Tree, CA. I decided not to go to bed, but instead drive to the Oceanside pier. At the parking lot, I encountered a few hardcore surfers arriving at the same time. While they were unloading the surfboard from the vehicle, I hurriedly set up the camera before the moon set below the horizon, and was able to capture this 'in camera composite' of two shots, long and short lenses.

"Day's End"

"Day's End "

I have hear of the sunset in the center of the pier two times per year, and I was hoping to capture such event. However, I must have missed it a couple of days because the sun is setting more to the south of the pier, and ended up with this photo, which I am extremely thrill. The light and shadow passing through the columns creating the pattern like the "stairway to heaven".

"Roaming Free "

After three days roaming Yellowstone National Park, I witnessed hundreds of bison and captured thousands of photos, but this shot stands out as my favorite. Seeing the big bull lead the herd trolling through the golden prairie is a reminder of the true spirit of the American West, symbolizing the spirit of the "Land of the Free."
